Rob Kerin Trophy Presentation

This award is presented to recognise the best club person for the year. The recipient does not need to be a club member or a member of the committee but a person who is a good supporter of the club, a person who is willing to offer assistance and do things around the club for the benefit of all to enjoy, a person regarded as an asset to the club.

This year’s recipient has been around the club for a few years now. He is quite often seen in the background and has taken on an unofficial role as a caretaker whenever he is around. If he sees an issue, whether damage to the jetty or things that need repair, without hesitation or complaint he just gets on with carrying out the task that needed to be done. He has helped out with working bees as well as repairs on the council F Jetty, a facility needed for visiting yachts as well as locals. He has a big impact on the running of sailing each week on Saturdays by making his boat and himself available. He is a very worthy recipient.

Congratulations to Syd Smith 2010 winner of the Kerin Trophy
